How do you put ginger in a juicer?

Break the desired amount from a piece of ginger root, and with the side of a spoon or a vegetable peeler, scrape the skin off the piece you are going to use. Introduce the ginger into the feed chute of your juicer.

Begin by peeling and grating several slices of ginger. Using your hands, squeeze out the ginger juice from the grated pieces into a small bowl. If you find this a bit awkward or messy, you can wrap the gratings in cheesecloth first and then squeeze the juice through the cheesecloth.

It's a good idea to wash your ginger. If it's non organic or shriveled then it's also a good idea to peel it before juicing. One trick to juicing ginger is to juice it first and then juice other water rich ingredients after. This will help wash out as much of the ginger juice as possible.

Do you have to peel ginger before you grate it?

When you need some grated ginger, pull it out of the freezer, scrape away the peel (if you want, it's not really necessary) of the area you want to grate, and grate the ginger with a microplane grater. Like we do when we slice ginger, grate across the grain of the fibers of the ginger.
